Filmmaking Bootcamp

The Filmmaking Bootcamp is a comprehensive program designed to teach participants essential interview techniques for documentary filmmaking, oral histories, and journalism. It covers interactions with a range of interview subjects, from public figures and celebrities to ordinary individuals, including those who are new to being interviewed or less cooperative. The course includes instruction on preparation, execution, and technical aspects such as framing, lighting, and audio. The bootcamp is led by Bill Megalos, a well recognized Hollywood filmmaker and media consultant with a diverse career spanning over five decades. Starting as a lighting designer and stage manager in New York’s theater scene, Megalos has since directed and produced documentaries, commercials, and music videos, collaborating with major names in the entertainment industry.
